Leading flame-grilled burger brand Rustlers has enlisted the help of football legend Peter Shilton, the most capped England player of all time, and Chesney Hawkes to release a ‘realistic’ football anthem, in case England don’t win Euro 2016.
At a time when many brands are talking up England’s chances, Rustlers is saying #letsberealistic by releasing the ‘Rustlers Official Anthem of Crushing Reality’. https://youtu.be/HGyU9aauvv8
“Whilst we really hope that England or one of the other home nations teams win, we’re being realistic in the knowledge that England have only won nine games in Euro history and it’s 50 years since they last won a major tournament,” says Adrian Lawlor, marketing & business development director at Kepak.
The company is actively promoting the anthem on social media with the hashtag #letsberealistic and is also producing a limited number of commiseration Rustlers burgers that fans will be able to win on social media.
The packs feature a patriotic St George’s flag and sachets of mayonnaise and ketchup. In addition, the company is producing themed vouchers that can be redeemed against any Rustlers burger and encouraging consumers to customise their very own ‘commiseration burger’.
