Rayburn Trading looks to combine activities from two sites into one

North-west Sugro member Rayburn Trading is looking for new premises that would ideally enable it to combine the activities of its two present warehouses – a 100,000 sq ft storage warehouse in Bury and 90,000 sq ft main depot in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, the two sites split by a 20-minute drive.

Operated by brothers Howard and Russell Goldman, the business dealt entirely in household goods and toiletries before venturing into confectionery and soft drinks several years ago. Packaged grocery is another possible category for the wholesaler.

“It’s early days,” said Howard Goldman, “but when we do move I would expect it would be to a depot with an area of at least 150,000 sq ft.”

Total Rayburn turnover, including exports, is £84 million.
