Quorn freezes prices and introduces Veggie Beef Burger for foodservice

Quorn Foods has launched Quorn Veggie Beef Burger (113g) into foodservice.

With a recommended supplier price of less than £1 per burger, the NPD is designed to make it easier and more cost efficient for operators to add meat-free burgers that don’t compromise on taste or quality to their menus.

“This type of offering is increasingly important in the current climate, when eating out is becoming much more of a luxury than in recent years,” says Phil Thornborrow, foodservice director at Quorn.

“We’re seeing research that suggests up to a quarter of UK adults are cutting down on meat to help them get through the cost-of-living crisis, and we hear that some operators are doing the same as a cost-saving measure when menu planning.”

Quorn has also taken the decision to freeze its prices. What’s more, it has introduced 50% extra free packs for Quorn Mince and Quorn Vegan Beef Pieces.
