Palmer and Harvey has released to independent retailer customers the first of several initiatives on the forthcoming new European tobacco legislation.

The trilingual booklet (in English, Gujarati and Urdu) can also be downloaded from the wholesaler’s website.

Group strategy & development director Paul Hagon said that the guide was designed to help shopkeepers understand how the new rules affect packaging, display, quantity and pricing of tobacco and cigarettes.

He added: “Through research, we have identified that availability levels and having the correct competitive pricing will be the most impactful aspects of the transition for retailers.”
