Nestlé Confectionery unveils Christmas range with NPD and favourites

Nestlé Confectionery’s Christmas range includes a number of new lines as well as festive favourites.

The Quality Street pouch bag format had a particularly strong 2021, up 41.7%, and this year it is joined by two new Quality Street Favourites bags: The Purple One – the nation’s favourite Quality Street sweet – and Strawberry Delight.

There are also two new Quality Street blocks inspired by The Purple One and Orange Crunch and a new Quality Street Matchmakers Honeycomb variety. The new flavour joins core variants mint and orange to complete the Matchmakers Christmas range.

This year the After Eights brand celebrates its 60th birthday, and a special edition design has been introduced for the 300g box. In addition, a Cherry & Mint flavour, voted for by consumers, has been launched, as well as an After Eight Mint Collection box, which aims to bring new shoppers into the inlaid category.

Also in the inlaid boxed chocolates category, Dairy Box star Christmas Collection returns to the range for 2022. It grew by 42% in 2021 versus the same period the previous year.

Nestlé saw 11% growth in the giant tubes category last year. This festive season, it is offering favourites Smarties, Rowntree’s, Milkybar and Rolo in this format plus two new lines: Aero Peppermint Bubbles and Smarties White giant tubes.

Finally, two new selection boxes have been launched: Aero Selection, which includes Milk Chocolate, Peppermint, Orange and Snowy White chocolate blocks, and Smarties & Milkybar Selection, which features a fun family game on the back of pack.
