Kepak unveils its first vegetarian burger with anticipated sales of £2 million
Kepak Consumer Foods has responded to the growing interest in meat-free products with its first vegetarian burger under the Rustlers brand.
The plant-based option (rsp £2) is made with chickpea, grated carrot and coriander, and served with mango chutney and a yoghurt & mint sauce.
The recipe has been developed to drive penetration among younger shoppers and is anticipated to generate incremental sales of more than £2 million in the UK micro-snacking market.
The launch is supported by consumer PR, social media, shopper marketing and promotions to drive trial.
