The judging for the CCM Chefs’ Own-Brand Awards 2023 has now been completed!
Run in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs – the leading chefs’ association in the UK – this year’s awards attracted a record number of entries, which were blind tasted by three expert judges.
The judging panel consisted of Andrew Green, chief executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs; Matt Owens, chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs and head of culinary for Alliance Group; and Jason Gordon, catering manager for the General Medical Council.
Overall, the standard of the foodservice own-brand products was very high, and several of the items were judged to be exceptional and fully deserving of the highest accolade – a ‘Best of the Best’ award.
Cash & Carry Management’s managing director Martin Lovell commented: “These awards highlight the quality and importance of wholesalers’ foodservice own-brands and we look forward to announcing the winners at an exclusive awards lunch later in the year.”
Feedback from the judges will be given on each product after the awards lunch.
