JJ launches Collect & Save campaign to reduce pressure on HGV drivers

JJ Foodservice is offering savings of up to 30% when customers collect their order.

The Collect & Save campaign has been launched to help reduce the pressure on UK HGV drivers.

Customers who collect usually save up to 15% on the delivery price. This will increase to up to 30% when five cases or more are bought on selected products.

New products will be promoted every week. An example of an item currently on offer is Diet Coke priced at £5.99 for 24 x 330ml when customers buy five cases or more for collection. This compares with £7.49 for fewer than five cases for collection or £8.79 for delivery.

“With the nation currently short on HGV drivers and new customers coming to us weekly, we need to make sure we have the support in place to maintain our high service levels,” said JJ’s chief product officer Sezer Ozkul.

JJ’s click & collect service is available seven days a week across 11 UK branches. Customers can place orders using the company’s website or mobile app.

The wholesaler is currently recruiting drivers across the UK with a campaign designed to increase the appeal of HGV driver roles to more women.
