Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) has announced the return of the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour, which will be stopping off at more than 40 locations across Great Britain over a six-week period.
The truck will also feature in the much-loved ‘Holidays are Coming’ advert, which will be back on TV screens for its 20th year in late November.
In addition to this, a range of Coca-Cola pack formats, including 500ml and 1.75 litre bottles, have been revamped to carry a new money-can’t-buy on-pack promotion.
Each pack now carries a unique code which can be entered on the Coca-Cola website, giving consumers the opportunity to win a two-hour visit from the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck to their hometown, plus a £5,000 hamper.
The competition will be supported by a new in-store truck inspired PoS display, which is currently being distributed to cash & carries and retailers.
“When people think of Christmas, they often think of Coca-Cola”, says Caroline Cater, director of operational marketing at CCE.
“Soft drinks in general are hugely important at this time of the year and are in fact the most frequently bought category in the eight weeks running up to Christmas (Kantar).
“It is therefore important for us to provide captivating campaigns that allow retailers to maximise their Christmas sales. This year is no different.”
