Help raise £375,000 for the employees of Palmer and Harvey

A crowd-funding page has been launched to help support the 2,500 employees and their families affected by Palmer and Harvey’s placement into administration.

With the aim of raising £375,000, the initative, at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/PandHkidschristmas, is the idea of Gemma Roberts, senior national account manager at Philip Morris International.

She commented: “As everyone is aware, yesterday (28th November 2017) P&H went into administration, leaving in the first phase 2,500 of our FMCG colleagues redundant with no redundancy package and just a few weeks to go to Christmas.

“As a parent I’m deeply saddened and worried for the families facing the worst Christmas they will ever experience.

“This page is in no way affiliated with any business, this is our FMCG family reaching out and looking after each other; if we can all spare the cost of one gift, we can ensure the children of P&H have the Christmas they deserve.”
