Hancocks relaunches Newcastle branch on 12 August
Hancocks is relaunching its Newcastle store with a grand reopening on 12 August.
The depot, based in Chester Le Street, has been upgraded with a new reception area and new racking throughout. In addition, the checkouts, aisle-end boards, promotion areas and lighting have all been replaced to enhance the customer experience, and the store has been painted inside and out.
On 12 August, more than 100 special offers will be available, and competitions and giveaways will be running throughout the day. The Shmoo Milkshake Truck will be there along with representatives from a number of suppliers including Nestlé, Swizzels and Haribo.
Hancocks’ chief operating officer, Jonathan Summerley, who will also be attending the reopening, said: “The last 18 months have been tough for businesses across the UK. Whilst online has boomed for everyone, investing in bricks and mortar stores is equally important and that’s something we’re committed to at Hancocks.
“Our depots have always been an essential part of our business and many of our customers still prefer to purchase in this traditional way. They can also benefit from the years of experience and knowledge our dedicated teams have when it comes to confectionery, find out about the trends in the marketplace, discover up and coming brands and of course take advantage of all our great deals and offers.”
He continued: “We’re delighted with the revamped Newcastle store and are looking forward to welcoming customers back in. The upgrades we’ve made will make the shopping experience even better for them.

The Newcastle store is one of 14 Hancocks branches in the UK.
