Hancocks promotes Alice Moran to manager of Glasgow branch

Hancocks has promoted Alice Moran to manager of its Glasgow store.

Moran (pictured) has worked for Hancocks in Scotland for the last 25 years. She joined the business as a cashier in the Glasgow branch when it was on its original site in Port Dundas. She worked as VDU operator in the office before becoming customer facing as a supervisor.

In new new role, she takes over from Kerr Mclaren who has moved to a new position internally as an account manager for World of Sweets. Moran heads up the 15-strong team at the depot on Blochairn Road.

Moran commented: “I’ve worked within the business for a quarter of a century and am most definitely ready to take on this new challenge.

“It’s been an interesting few years for Hancocks. We had the challenges of the pandemic and the fun and excitement around the 60th birthday celebrations which provided a good opportunity to connect with customers and suppliers.

“I’m looking forward to leading the team at Glasgow and working closely with our retail customers over the coming months and years to supply them with the very best confectionery.”
