First Brand Box campaign from Unitas will begin at the end of October

Following its postponement due to the COVID-19 crisis, the ‘Brand Box’ initiative from Unitas has been launched.

The group is offering free stock to its members’ retail customers to allow them to offer NPD without risk in their stores. Other ‘Brand Box’ campaigns will feature products that are part of the ‘Plan for Profit’ core range recommended by Unitas.

The first ‘Brand Box’ campaign begins at the end of October and will enable 1,000 retailers to trial products from leading brands including Maltesers, Pot Noodle, Red Bull and Sharp’s Doom Bar.

Picture Portal technology will show the suppliers involved evidence of the products being merchandised on the shelves of the participating independent retailers.

John Kinney, Unitas Wholesale sales & marketing director, commented: “We’ve developed a platform that reduces the risk for independent retailers to support NPD at the earliest opportunity, allowing them to compete locally.

“We have developed this initiative in partnership with our suppliers in such a way that provides an effective and efficient route to market.”
