JJ is aiming to lead the way.

She spoke about her work developing the transport infrastructure in Enfield to reduce congestion and improve journeys to work.

Group general manager Terry Larkin said: “Transport will see tremendous changes in the next few years. We will lead the way for other businesses by trialling smaller vehicles which are fitted with cameras to monitor traffic and driver stress levels. Calmer drivers mean safer driving conditions, which benefit everyone involved.”

FWD chief executive James Bielby, who helped host the visit, raised the impact of Brexit on the wholesale industry, saying: “The flexible labour market is a potential challenge for members. “We are working with the Government to try to retain as many of the benefits of EU membership as possible.”

The MP said improving Enfield’s transport infrastructure would play a vital role in making the area a more attractive place to work.

The foodservice wholesaler used the meeting to raise awareness of its recruitment drive, particularly for future branch managers.
