December income enhances Country Range’s growth

An “incredible” festive period ended a year in which Country Range Group’s like-for-like turnover rose by over £50 million to more than £430 million. In December alone there was a 16% increase.

Managing director Coral Rose (pictured) said: “It was the best December we have ever had, so it was the perfect way to round off our record-breaking 25th anniversary year.

“The results clearly highlight the demand from caterers for quality independent foodservice wholesalers who can provide local knowledge, expertise, expansive product portfolios and the finest customer service.”

Rose added that, by being part of a national buying group, members benefited from competitive pricing, attractive promotions, access to the Country Range brand and extensive marketing support.

“It makes a fantastic case for why wholesalers should treasure their independence.”

As well as the group sales growth, she alluded to investment by members, “ensuring that these results are only the beginning and that we have the foundations in place to continuously improve, grow and take advantage of the new trends and opportunities in 2018.”
