Costco opens in Stevenage – its 29th UK branch

Costco has opened its 29th UK branch – in Stevenage, Herts – creating over 230 jobs.

With a size of more than 155,000 sq ft, the new warehouse is the company’s first in the UK to open with a petrol station, although 15 existing units already have this facility in place.

Another unique feature is a grade 2 listed roof in a style created by former Spanish architect Felix Candela.

The manager of the Stevenage branch is Leigh Ormsby, who was formerly in charge of the company’s Southampton warehouse.
