Confex to go live with direct-to-consumer website in January
Confex is launching Confex Direct, a direct-to-consumer website, in January.
Confex Direct (www.confexdirect.com) will give consumers the opportunity to buy snacks, crisps and drinks at up to 20% less than supermarket prices, and promises to offer new products before they are available in the shops.
There will be no minimum order value, and the service will be promoted on social media with monthly themes including health & wellbeing (January), St Patrick’s Day (March), Beach Party (August) and Back to School (September).
A total of 34% of Confex members are already selling direct to consumers, and D2C selling is projected to account for 22% of Confex member turnover by 2025.
Simon King, senior business development manager at Confex, commented: “Delivering top snacks, crisps and drinks straight to your door, Confex Direct is perfectly positioned to satisfy the demand for D2C commerce caused by the pandemic.”
