Colm Johnson replaces Steve Fox as MD of Booker Group Retail

Steve Fox (pictured), who has worked for Booker for 17 years, with major responsibility for the 3,500-plus Premier retail chain, is leaving in September to join leading forecourt operator MFG, where he will be managing director.

Taking over from him as MD of Booker Group Retail will be Colm Johnson, who has worked for the company for 34 years, latterly looking after its impulse business.

Booker CEO Charles Wilson said: “Steve Fox has done a fantastic job for Booker and the retailers we serve.

“Colm Johnson takes over where Steve has left off. He has a deep understanding of our retailers and the progress we need to make to continue earning the support and partnership of our retail customers.”

As well as the Premier chain, Booker services nearly 2,000 Londis stores, 252 shops under the Budgens name and 82 Family Shopper outlets.
