The annual scheme – the soft drink supplier’s fourth since its launch – is being supported by 213 stores within a mile of a park.

The initiative is aimed at bringing consumers together to enjoy their local parks and green spaces. A range of activities has been devised in conjunction with local councils.

The programme is being backed by in-store point-of-sale material, social media activity, Spar Radio and shopper prizes. There will also be a £1,000 retailer incentive for the best ParkLives in-store activation.

CCEP director of wholesale & convenience Gary Black said: “We’re delighted Spar is partnering with our ParkLives programme this year as it will help raise awareness of the free activities to more consumers in the local areas in which the scheme operates.

“With an extended range of activities on offer this year, and all still free to local people, we hope that even more will join in.”
