CCEP goes tropical with new Monster Energy variants

Coca-Cola European Partners has added two new variants to its Monster Energy range – Pacific Punch and Ultra Paradise.

Monster Ultra Paradise brings together hints of kiwi, lime and cucumber for a light and refreshing flavour, giving consumers an energy boost with no calories and no sugar. This will help the trade to tap into the growing low-sugar energy segment with the Monster Ultra brand, which is worth £64 million, growing by 23% and now GB’s No.1 low-calorie energy range (Nielsen).

Meanwhile, Monster Pacific Punch is inspired by traditional tropical punch and made with real fruit juice, boosted with the renowned Monster caffeine kick. The Monster Juice portfolio is worth more than £58 million since being launched in 2018 (Nielsen).

Both variants are available in plain and price-marked packs: £1.29 PMP for Monster Ultra Paradise and £1.39 PMP for Monster Pacific Punch.

Simon Harrison, vice president, commercial development at Coca-Cola European Partners GB, says: “The energy sector has grown by £99 million over the last two years and Monster has been a key driver of this, adding £68 million of value to the sector (Nielsen) thanks to a growing core range, innovative new flavours and impactful marketing campaigns.

“We will continue to invest in the brand throughout 2020, helping our customers to engage shoppers with our marketing plans and providing choice to consumers with both regular and zero-sugar options.”
