Barr Soft Drinks unveils two new limited-edition sour flavours
Barr Soft Drinks has announced the launch of two Barr Sour variants, which will be available from July for a limited time only.
Available in 500ml PETs, price-marked at 79p, Sour Berry and Sour Apple have been developed to drive excitement around the Barr range, whilst delivering an incremental sales opportunity for retailers. The Barr carbonates range is currently worth £44.2 million (IRI).
“Limited-edition flavours are always very popular with shoppers, where taste is still the key driver. Not only do they drive sales but they also increase brand engagement and conversation whilst creating excitement at fixture,” says Adrian Troy, marketing director at Barr Soft Drinks.
“New flavours in the category have delivered more than £50 million worth of sales over the last two years (Kantar), and consumer research has shown us that Barr lovers will be excited to try the Sours range, so retailers should make the most of this seasonal sales opportunity, before it’s gone.”
High-impact PoS will be available to signpost the new flavours, which come in outers of 12, and help retailers drive sales of the full Barr range.
