Simply Food Solutions launches Small & Mighty meals for healthcare sector

Simply Food Solutions – part of Bidfood – has expanded its offering with Small & Mighty meals.

Unlike traditional 380g portions, Small & Mighty provides concentrated nutrition in a more manageable format that is straightforward for healthcare caterers to prepare.

Developed in line with British Dietetic Association (BDA) guidance, each 300g Small & Mighty meal provides at least 20g of protein and 500kcal to support the nutritional needs of patients and residents with reduced appetites.

Available under Simply Food Solutions’ new healthcare brand, Tastefull, the range consists of eight frozen Level 4 texture-modified meals: Beef Casserole, Cottage Pie, Fisherman’s Pie, Fish & Chips, Lamb & Mint Sauce, Chicken & Potato Pie, Macaroni Cheese and Sausage & Mash.

The launch forms part of Tastefull’s wider strategy to enhance the specialist healthcare range, with continued development of individual-plated and multi-portion meals, as well as training and operational guidance on menu management.
