Primo Foods appointed master distributor of Trolli confectionery

Primo Foods has been appointed master distributor of the Trolli confectionery brand in UK wholesale and convenience.

The agreement with Mederer UK (the UK division of leading European sweet confectionery manufacturer – Mederer GmbH), supports the ambitions of the Trolli brand for the UK following the opening of its UK office in 2026.

The Trolli brand has already built up significant UK distribution in Costco UK and leading specialist confectionery delivery wholesalers, and a successful trial period has seen Primo Foods grow additional volume and distribution for Trolli in the UK.

The brand claims industry-first inventions including the gummy worm, gummy burger, and its 2025 TikTok sensation of 3D filled eyeball gummies.

Vignan Purushothmakumar, managing director of Mederer UK, says: “We are proud to announce this strategic appointment of a master distributor. We have identified the UK as a strategic growth market for us. We have worked with Primo Foods to bring new solutions, including smaller pack sizes to drive trial, and a Halal range.”
