The CCM Chefs’ Own-Brand Awards 2026/27 have attracted a record number of entries from a wide range of wholesalers and buying groups. This marks nine years of successive growth since the awards were launched in 2018.
The awards are run in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs – the leading chefs’ association in the UK.
Heading up the judging panel is Andrew Green, chief executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs. He has been involved with the CCM awards since the beginning.
Green will be joined on the panel by Jason Gordon, catering manager for the General Medical Council, and Matt Owens, executive head chef of Thomas Franks, who have also been judges since the start.
As always, the judging will be conducted in blind tastings. Feedback will be given on each product tested with the aim of raising the bar even further in own-brand development for the benefit of wholesalers, their customers and consumers alike.
Cash & Carry Management’s managing director Martin Lovell said: “We are delighted with the response of wholesalers to our initiative. It is clear from the breadth and depth of entries that wholesalers and their buying groups are continuing to invest in their own-brand ranges.
“Judging will take place the week commencing the 24th of August, and we look forward to seeing the innovation and quality of the products submitted for judging.”
The winners of the awards will be announced at an exclusive awards lunch on Thursday 7th January 2027.
