KCS Cash & Carry opens new depot in Croydon

KCS Cash & Carry has opened a new 30,000 sq ft depot in Croydon.

Located at Segro Park, Redhouse Road, the new site has been developed to serve independent retailers, foodservice operators and other trade customers in Croydon and the surrounding area. The depot trades from 8am to 7pm, with opening activity including trade specials and tasting sessions.

Founded in 2019 by Kiran Singh and Chander Singh, KCS Cash & Carry is based at a 35,000 sq ft cash & carry in Hayes and offers a range of over 10,000 products to retail and catering customers. It also has its own brand, KCS Foods, which features products that are ‘carefully curated to meet specific demands’ it has identified in London.

The Croydon opening marks a further step in the company’s growth strategy and aligns with its ‘Vision 2030’ ambition to achieve double-digit growth year on year.

Croydon was selected due to strong demand from the area’s Afro-Caribbean and broader multicultural retail market, alongside the opportunity to support a wide mix of independent businesses and foodservice customers.

The depot offers around 8,000 SKUs, with a particular focus on world foods, supported by a large chilled and frozen area. The range has been designed to offer breadth across key wholesale categories and meet the needs of customers looking for choice, convenience and value. The opening is expected to create more than 30 jobs.
