Co-op Wholesale recruits ex-Bestway’s Robbie Moore as trading director

Co-op Wholesale has appointed Robbie Moore as trading director.

Moore (pictured) joins the company after three years at Bestway Retail, latterly as director of trading – convenience.

Before that he was head of trading at CJ Lang & Son/SPAR Scotland for a year, and he also spent a year at Morrisons in the role of wholesale buying manager and seven years at Costcutter (2014-2020), latterly as head of commercial. Bestway acquired Costcutter in February 2021.

In his new role, he will focus on strengthening supplier partnerships, enhancing product and promotional offers, and driving sustainable growth.

Moore said: “This role is about delivering real value to customers while building sustainable growth with our suppliers. I look forward to working with the team to drive innovation and execution across the wholesale channel.”

The appointment highlights Co-op Wholesale’s commitment to expanding its trading capabilities and reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for suppliers and customers.
