NBC raises money for cancer charities through golf day sponsorship

NBC’s sponsorship of The Arthingworth Open, a charity golf day, helped to raise £1,000 for cancer charities.

The event was held on 7 September and a group of golfers had fun in the sun and celebrated the prize winners at a golf dinner held at The Bull’s Head in Arthingworth.

More importantly, with the help of the organisers and NBC’s sponsorship, £1,000 was raised for cancer charities in memory of Cathy Newman, a regular participant and member of the golf club.

David Lunt, managing director of NBC, commented: “I have been a big supporter of charity events over the years, running a very large number of marathons and raising funds for well deserving charities. This group of people have constantly not forgotten one of their own and it is an honour to support them and help raise funds for a very important cause.

“The winners were Samuel Campion and Cathy Reeves and we look forward to next year’s event.”
