United Wholesale Grocers moves to bigger venue for trade show

United Wholesale Grocers it to hold its 2025 trade show and supplier awards on 4 September at Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle.

Retail director Tom Slaven commented: “After the success of our inaugural event in 2024, we are delighted to announce the date for 2025. Over 100 suppliers and several hundred retailers attended the event last year and as a result we have moved to a larger venue. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 4th September.”

Based in Springburn in Glasgow, United Wholesale Grocers also has depots in Polmadie, which is also in Glasgow, and Gateshead (acquired in 2018).

Last year, the wholesaler held its trade show at the Sunderland Live Arena (previously Rainton Arena).
