Turner Price names Paul Brittain as new managing director
Hull-based wholesaler Turner Price has named Paul Brittain as its new managing director. The appointment follows the company’s acquisition and its integration into the Caterfood Buying Group in July of this year.
A long-serving member of the Turner Price leadership team, Brittain (pictured) has been instrumental in the company’s growth, serving on the board as finance director for over 22 years.
John Gould, who has led Turner Price since 1997, played a key role in the appointment process and will move into an advisory role, providing ongoing support to the senior management team.
Reflecting on his appointment, Brittain said: “Turner Price has been a significant part of my life since 2002, and it is an honour to take on the role of managing director.
“Our greatest asset is our people – their expertise, dedication and passion are the foundation of our success. We are fortunate to have a loyal customer base and strong partnerships with valued suppliers. Maintaining our trusted service and relationships will remain our top priority.
“Following a successful transition into the Caterfood Buying Group, I am confident that Turner Price has an exciting future ahead. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Caterfood team and the wider group for their warm welcome.”
Phil Atyeo, managing director of the Caterfood Buying Group, added: “We have been very impressed with Paul’s support during the transition period of Turner Price joining the Caterfood Buying Group. Paul is the epitome of professionalism and entrepreneurialism, which we saw from the very start. I have no doubt that Paul will make a great managing director and we are very pleased to have him as part of our team.”
Turner Price operates from depots in East Yorkshire and County Durham, serving over 2,500 foodservice customers across the education, healthcare, hospitality and leisure sectors.
