Rayburn increases minimum order value to £500
Rayburn Trading has raised the minimum order value to £500 ex-VAT for traders purchasing from its Manchester showroom.
The previous threshold of £450 ex-VAT had been in operation for four years, reported Howard Goldman, trading director of the non-foods wholesaler. He told Cash & Carry Management: “We do it two ways here. Many of our customers come here first thing in the morning, place their order, and then come back within two hours or so and take the goods away. Others prefer to arrange for their deliveries to arrive via one of our 12 vehicles, which cover the country.”
Rayburn, with an annual turnover of £75 million, moved to its present building 10 years ago; it also has a storage site in nearby Bury.
Goldman said that apart from the wide range of non-foods, including health & beauty and household products, the company – a member of Sugro – now offers a sizeable selection of branded confectionery as well as soft drinks. It also has a lucrative export business, sending stock to almost 60 countries, as far afield as New Zealand.
