Pricecheck named International Trade Champion

Pricecheck has been named International Trade Champion at the Sheffield Business Awards.

Pricecheck’s Rachael Willmot accepts the award.

The International Trade Champion award showcases companies that have excelled in global import and export operations while contributing significantly to the Sheffield economy.

In the last two years, Pricecheck’s export sales have grown by an average of 25% per annum, now exceeding pre-Brexit levels, with growth in export sales being accelerated by its fast-growing Belgian subsidiary.

Rachael Willmot, customs & compliance manager, commented: “It’s an honour to receive the award on behalf of the Pricecheck team. We’re very proud of our export success which accounts for more than a third of our business.

“Trading with the EU since Brexit has been challenging and the whole team has worked very hard to restore our export figures. We are really proud to now have exceeded all previous records, and we now sell to more than 100 countries.”

At the forefront of the company’s export-led strategy is joint managing director Debbie Harrison, who was awarded an OBE in 2022 for service to international trade.

Harrison said: “Pricecheck’s exporting success comes down to the hard work of our specialist team and I am so proud to see their efforts celebrated with this award. By sourcing new opportunities across the globe, we have increased export turnover – and now we’re in a stronger trading position than ever before.”

Pricecheck is an international distributor stocking over 8,000 products from the world’s biggest FMCG brands across grocery, beauty, household, and toiletries categories.
