Parfetts to open its eighth depot – in Birmingham – later this year

Parfetts is to open its eighth depot – in central Birmingham – later this year.

The move will create over 100 new jobs and support the expansion of Go Local and The Local symbol groups.

The 100,000 sq ft depot will give independent retailers across the Midlands access to a wide range of deals from weekly manager’s specials to quarterly showcases. There are also regular three-weekly promotions featuring around 120 products plus every-day low priced (EDLP) lines.

Commenting on the move, Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, said: “Our eighth depot is an important milestone in the development of Parfetts and our symbol groups. It brings our employee-owned and value-led cash & carry model to the Midlands, which we believe will help to support independent retailers across the region.”

Parfetts existing seven depots are in Aintree, Anfield, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Somercotes and Stockport.
