Bestway Retail, the division of the C&C/wholesaler that includes Bargain Booze, Select Convenience, Central Convenience and Wine Rack More, has outlined new agreements with franchisees at 12 regional meetings.
They were held following the recent takeover of the retail side of Conviviality, which operated 769 stores, mainly under franchise.
Bestway Retail MD David Robinson said the new proposition comprises simplified paperwork, fewer retro payments, sale or return and the ability to source up to 10% of goods from outside the company.
He added: “It’s vital that we meet the needs of our retailers and, by limiting the amount of paperwork, this frees up franchisees’ time and effort into developing their business.
“Reducing the number of products they are required to purchase through the company gives them the opportunity to support other local businesses and provides shoppers with locally sourced products which may not be available centrally.”
