JJ Foodservice expands Mix & Save promotion and unveils The Kitchen
Nearly three-quarters (74%) of independent restaurants are seeking cost-saving ideas for 2025, while more than a third (35%) are planning to diversify their menus and 36% will open new locations, according to JJ Foodservice’s ‘Big Customer Survey’.
The survey involved 249 of JJ Foodservice’s customers, 49% of whom are London based. The rest are in Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester, Basingstoke, Manchester, Doncaster, Leeds and Newcastle. Respondents included a diverse range of businesses, from Thai, Indian, Turkish, Italian and British cuisine restaurants to cafes, coffee shops and sandwich bars.
In response to the findings, JJ Foodservice is doubling down on its customer-focused initiatives. Its Mix & Save promotion, designed to help restaurants save by shopping in bulk, has now been expanded, with further growth planned for 2025. Originally launched in November with P&G Professional, the promotion now features selected fruits and vegetables, along with Britvic and Coca-Cola branded items.
To further support customers, JJ Foodservice is launching The Kitchen, a state-of-the-art commercial space at its Enfield HQ. Opening in early 2025, The Kitchen will showcase innovative, cost-saving products, including JJ’s own-brand range and supplier collaborations, while introducing new recipe ideas for menus.
“2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the independent restaurant and takeaway sector, particularly in London,” said Baris Kacar, chief sales officer at JJ Foodservice. “We know value and menu innovation are key for our customers, and we’re committed to supporting them with solutions like Mix & Save and inspiration through The Kitchen.”
