Imperial Cash & Carry celebrates 35th anniversary

Imperial Cash & Carry, of Edmonton, London, has celebrated 35 years of trading with a Gala Dinner at the Meridian Grand in London.

The ‘Under the Sea’ themed event attracted over 400 guests from across wholesale and convenience and raised £20,000 for two charities, Mind and the Vahinsa Foundation.

A Unitas member, Imperial Cash & Carry started out with just one off-licence and has since evolved into a 70,000 sq ft wholesale operation, offering more than 6,000 products to its 2,000 trade customers. Described as London’s premier wholesale wines, spirits, alcohol & soft drink cash & carry, the business remains family-run and now employs 35 people.

Kali Mulchandani, director at Imperial Cash & Carry, commented: “We’re incredibly passionate about what we do, and we couldn’t be prouder to reach 35 years doing what we love. We’d like to thank all the guests who joined us at the Gala Dinner, helping us raise much needed funds for two charities that are very close to our hearts.”

John Kinney, managing director of Unitas Wholesale, added: “To celebrate 35 years in business is an incredible achievement. It’s been a privilege to support the team at Imperial Cash & Carry – longstanding members of the Unitas family – over the years. Watching their business go from strength to strength under the stewardship of Kali and John has been great to see – here’s to the next 35 years.”
