Fresh Direct launches 25 new products for summer

Fresh Direct – part of Sysco – has introduced 25 new products as part of its ‘Taste Like Summer’ launch.

British produce spearheads the list of new lines. For example, the range of premium tomatoes from Isle of Wight Tomatoes has been extended with Mixed Heritage Tomatoes, and Fresh Direct has also introduced bags of vertically-grown, British-produced Zesty Salad.

Innovation also features in the seasonal launch, with round courgettes, perfect for stuffed courgette, and purple sweet potato, adding vibrant colour to the plate.

Helping to support kitchens across the country as increases in the cost of employment start to take effect, Fresh Direct has also introduced a number of time-saving products including Cajun Spiced Sweet Potato Cubes, Honey & Rosemary Carrot and Parsnip Strips, and Mango Fingers and Pineapple Fingers.
