Caterforce aids FareShare food distribution charity

Caterforce has made a donation of £48,000 to food distribution charity FareShare.

The money was raised at the foodservice buying group’s 25th anniversary dinner dance held at the Natural History Museum in London and came from ticket sales from the 200-plus guests and a prize auction.

Group managing director Nick Redford (left) said: “The event was not only a great opportunity to celebrate with members and suppliers but also to give something back.

“FareShare is a wonderful organisation which supports charities and community groups to redistrubute surplus products from the food industry. We are proud to have associated with them in this exciting initiative.”

Caterforce has eight independent wholesale members with a combined turnover of more than £500 million.
