Booker relaunches website and app to give a smarter digital experience

Booker has relaunched its website and app with the aim of delivering a faster, smarter digital experience for its customers, suppliers and employees.

The platforms are supported by new corporate branding and high-resolution photography.

Customers from the retail and catering sectors can access features that enhance their online browsing and shopping experience, such as visual shopping lists, personalised homepages tailored to their fascia or sector, and product recommendations. The website also offers smarter ordering tools, enhanced search functionality and improved print layouts for lists and favourites.

Booker’s new insights and inspiration hub provides fresh ideas and practical resources to help businesses stand out, boost footfall and innovate. From must-stock retail lines to trending catering ingredients, the content is accessible to all, regardless of whether a Booker customer.

The enhanced checkout experience means customers will now see product images appear on their shopping list during checkout for added clarity, combined with one-click add-to-basket functionality. With quick access to delivery details, customers can place orders with speed on desktop and mobile.

Suppliers will gain greater brand visibility and clearer value communication, supported by new media and advertising opportunities that connect with customers at every stage of the buying journey. For Booker’s 15,000 plus employees, the updated platform and improved product discovery tools are designed to provide a simpler, more intuitive way to support customers and unlock new opportunities.

Richard Lamb, group technology director at Booker, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil the first stage of our brand new digital experience across our website and the Booker app – a fresh, modern experience that showcases the very best of Booker. We’ve created an intuitive, seamless experience covering the entire customer journey. From browsing to checkout, with personalised features and an improved shopping journey, we’re making it easier than ever for businesses to grow with us.”

Customers can visit the same URL, www.booker.co.uk, and log in using their existing password and customer number. All saved baskets and favourites will also remain intact, ensuring a smooth transition.

This marks the first phase of Booker’s digital transformation, with plans to roll out additional features and functionality in the coming weeks and months.
